Grandmaster Balon has been in business for over 30 years. From his humble beginnings teaching classes at the YMCA to his first school on Harts Lane to our current location, he has trained and inspired thousands of students. He is an AAU National Champion in Point Sparring, and was the AAU NJ District Chairperson for 30 years. Grandmaster Balon and his wife Linda are the proud parents of Master Charles Ferrone and Danielle (Wayne) Janke and grandparents of Ellianna, Aria and Logan, who all train at Fastkix.

Master Charles has trained since he was 5 years old. He is a 13 time AAU National Champion (including several years where he was a 3 time Gold medalist!), and our Competition Team’s head coach Master Charles oversees all of our operations and staff and has taken our program to a new level. He is a nationally recognized elite level coach with multiple students earning national team spots. Master Charles designs and implements all of our teaching material and is responsible for the amazingly fun, creative and instructive classes you see every day.

Master Nick has been part of the Fastkix family since 2002. He is a 3 time Silver Medalist at the AAU Nationals and holds the rank of Class B as an AAU Taekwondo Official. Outside of Taekwondo, he received his Bachelors and MBA from NJIT in the field of Information Technology, and is currently working as an IT Risk Manager. Master Nick has been teaching students for over 15 years and still loves finding new and creative ways to teach and learn himself.

Master Sue is a 5 time AAU National Champion and part of our Fastkix family since 2004. As our Program Director, she not only teaches, but also oversees all our programs, communications and special events to keep our schools running so smoothly. Whether it’s membership questions, emails, testing, kicksite, apparel or creating an amazing class environment, Master Sue is our our go-to for all things Fastkix.

Master Isabella is a 4th Degree Black Belt who started training when she was 6 years old. She took a break from martial arts to attend Pace University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Business. Master Isabella is so excited to be back at Fastkix as an instructor and her favorite part of her job is seeing the kids bond with one another and become a family. Master Isabella is our Mini Masters Program Director and the head of our Girl to Girl Mentor Program.

Nick is a 2nd Degree Senior Black Belt and has been training since he was 10. He started teaching at 14 and his favorite part of teaching is seeing all the students having fun, interacting with each other, and overall just growing as people. Nick finds that it’s really fulfilling to teach a class that all the students enjoy, especially when they grow closer as friends as a result. Overtime as well, he’s observed students mature, grow in confidence and shine as their own person. Nick believes that to be even a small part in all these journeys is simply amazing and it truly makes him love teaching.

Daniel is a 2nd Degree Senior Black Belt who transferred to Fastkix in June 2021. He loves teaching and mentoring younger students and has some special talent teaching weapons forms. Daniel is a huge asset to our team and can be counted on to fill in wherever he’s needed, even being the Fastkix Ninja Turtle!

Travis is a 3rd Degree Black Belt who started training in 2015. He is a longtime member of our Competition Team and earned multiple local, state and national medals. His work ethic is unmatched and he brings his incredible energy and enthusiasm to every class.

Nylah is a student favorite for her positive outlook and creative and fun drills. A Black Belt, she joined our staff in 2024 to help support our team. She’s a member of our Competition Team.
